Recent God-smacks:

August 13, 2009- Clashes between Sunni Muslim government troops and Shia Muslim fighters left dozens dead.

June 29, 2009- Yemeni jetliner crashed into the Indian Ocean, killing 154.

October 24, 2008- Cyclone 03A (a windstorm, like a hurricane or tornado) made landfall, causing flooding; about 180 dead.

September 12, 2006- Stampede at a presidential campaign rally left 51 dead.

December 31, 2005- Landslide killed 56.

March 30, 1997- The “Sana'a school shooting”, wherein a 48-year-old man went on a rampage, killed 6 and injured 12. He was, the very next day on March 31, executed by a firing squad, and his carcass was nailed to a cross for public display.

December 13, 1982- An earthquake killed 1,507.
