FREEDOM OF RELIGION:
There is freedom of religion in Syria, however, there are restrictions. The restrictions occur at times based upon economic rivalries. Also, there are political restrictions regarding religion. The Syrian Constitution requires that the president be Muslim. Everyone knows how influential the government is to a country, so when you have restrictions on what religion your president and your legislative body should be there is truly no freedom of religion.
FREEDOM OF SPEECH:
The Syrian government seriously restricts freedom of speech. What you have to remember is that this country’s government has a lot of Islamic influence, who did the Muslims descend from? Ishmael, the bondwoman’s child, they are forever cursed. They don’t like to hear those words so they will restrict it and keep it out. Do they honestly think that if they don’t hear the words that they aren’t a cursed people? Think again rebels. You are cursed! You know the Lord chose Isaac’s descendents to be His people, although you are a great people, you are a cursed people.
Galatians 4:22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
