Two-thirds of South Africans claim to be Christian. They are liars! Today in South Africa, you will find the Zion Christians, the Pentecostal/Charismatic, the Catholic, the Methodist, the Dutch Reformed, the Anglican, the “other Christian”, and Islam religions.
Prior to 1990, however, things were much different indeed! The Dutch Reformed Church of South Africa (DRC) was the state-sponsored religion. From roughly 1950 to 1990, the church and state were one – the DRC provided the national policies (especially apartheid) and many prominent government officials were members. If you were a member of DRC, you received favored treatment from government, including employment opportunities. If you were not a member of DRC, you did not.
The DRC claimed to believe and follow the doctrines of Calvinism, to wit: the complete depravity of humanity; unconditional election; limited atonement; irresistible grace; and perseverance of the saints. They claimed to believe the Bible and the gospel of Jesus Christ that God has predestinated who will and who will not be saved, and thus, people cannot contribute to their salvation. AMEN!!
I say they claim to believe those rock-solid truths of God. They are liars as evidenced by their lives and their policies as a nation to institutionalize separation of humans according to their race. There is ZERO scriptural authority for such a thing! In fact, to the contrary, to wit:
Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation.
In the early 1980s, the World Alliance of Reformed Churches declared apartheid to be a heresy, and expelled the DRC from their organization, which resulted in a change in DRC’s beliefs and teachings on that issue. The DRC claims to this date to believe the truth of God, so my question is to them: WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN WHILE THE FAGS HAVE TAKEN OVER YOUR COUNTRY?! You are without excuse, and you will be held accountable to God on the Judgment Day.
