The Lord has most certainly cursed this evil nation by the outpouring of His Wrath through “natural disasters.” This God-forsaken country is situated in the Pacific within the “Ring of Fire” - so named because of the frequent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. This is only a foretaste of what is to come when the Lord returns.
In 2008 alone, from January to September, there have been 238 dead from typhoons, floods and landslides caused partly by earthquakes and volcanic activity. 4.3 million people have been affected so far by these calamities. It is estimated that 1 in 10 (or, 8 million) people each year, according to the Terra Daily, are left to fend for themselves causing a major source of poverty. The Terra Daily also noted that these disasters have recently come more frequently and with more intensity, attributing that which God did to changing weather patterns and global warming.

Many children die or are maimed each year due to fireworks and gunshots at their pagan Christmas holiday and New Years Eve events. Some have died or have been injured when mistaking a colorful firework, called a watusi, as a treat to eat. Filipinos enjoy a noisy celebration shooting off their guns and fireworks, even though fireworks are actually illegal. Imagine that – not obeying the law. Filipinos do not care about obeying the laws of man just as they have rebelled against the laws and commandments of God.
Psalm 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
