God's Wrath Revealed Against Mali

God's Wrath Revealed Against MaliReported by afrol News, Mali’s inhabitants are constantly “living with serious natural disaster hazards, including floods, droughts and crop or livestock disease […] and infestation of locusts.”

From CIA.gov, under the “Economy” section, “Mali is among the 25 poorest countries in the world, with 65% of its land area desert or semi-desert and with a highly unequal distribution of income.” From this page on CIA.gov, Mali’s unemployment rate stands at 30%. From World Food Programme.org, “well over 60 percent of the population lives below the poverty line and agriculture is the engine of a weak economy.”

From Population Council: Child Marriage Briefing, “Mali is home to 11.6 million people, with 47 percent of its population under age 15. While the economy of this West African nation is improving, it is still recovering from the devastating droughts and famines of the 1980s. Approximately 73 percent of the population  live on less than US$1 a day, and life expectancy is 45 years.”

Indexmundi.com projects that the infant mortality rate (IMR) will be 115.86 deaths per 1000 live births for 2010; IMR is a symbolic barometer of a country’s health. Clearly, Mali does not have this blessing from the LORD. He cuts off your children before their lives begin; it is no blessing when the child dies; it is a wakeup call! REPENT OR PERISH!

UNHCR.org reports in October 2008 that “at least 300 women are victims of sexual violence every year in Bamako,” the capital and largest city of Mali, but the numbers are actually much higher. “"Victims and their families rarely denounce rapists in order to preserve the family's dignity and honour," said the [Women in Law and Development in Africa] president Sidibe Djenba Diop, "Rape cases are on the rise, yet neither the [Malian] culture nor its laws recognized, yet, that rape is an act of violence against women."” OMG – you’re kidding, right?

April 28, 2010- Flooding killed 15; destroyed hundreds of homes; left 32,000 homeless.
