God's Wrath
Revealed Against Kuwait
The biggest oil spill in history – so far – the continuous leaking of oil in the Gulf of Mexico might soon top it – took place in the body of water touching Kuwait's beaches. In January of 1991, during the First Gulf War, Saddam Hussein intentionally released roughly 460 million gallons of crude oil into the Persian Gulf after the US Military Forces obstructed Iraq's first attempt of invading Kuwait.
The War itself in and of itself resulted in the deaths of an estimated 1000 Kuwaiti civilians. 300,000 fled and sought refuge elsewhere. Because the Iraqi's used the "scorched earth" military strategy – and placed land mines around Kuwaiti oil wells – they created oil fires that we uncontrollable. The air quality diminished greatly, causing breathing problems.
Flooding, sandstorms commonly occur in Kuwait and are at the hand of an Angry God!
Isaiah 28:2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
Jeremiah 23:19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.
Ezekiel 13:13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
Nahum 1:2 ¶ God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. 3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
