God's Wrath Revealed Against Kenya

God's Wrath on KenyaGod Almighty’s wrath abides on Kenya as evidenced by the perpetual state of famine and destruction through droughts and floods.  Hundreds of people are killed annually and thousands are affected by these plagues from the hand of God upon this land.  The last thing these people would think of doing is humbling themselves before the mighty hand of God, putting away their false idols, and obeying God.

Additionally, Kenya lies on an active fault line causing tremors in the area.  The last such tremor was felt on August 20, 2007, and was a magnitude of 5.2.  At any minute that line could shift and the entire country be destroyed by an earthquake.

An obvious result of these natural disasters is a chronic food crisis that leaves Kenya in a constant state of “emergency” where a large part of the country is dependent on food aid to stay alive.  Add to the equation the total incompetence of those organizing and distributing the food, and you see the very picture of a people left to themselves and void of any real hope.

Against that backdrop, you can only expect the man-made disasters to pile on.  By way of example, on the evening of January 31, 2009, a gasoline tanker overturned near the town of Molo, in the Rift Valley.  As word began to spread, villagers swarmed the truck, siphoning fuel into plastic containers.  When the incompetent police tried to take control of the situation, the village criminals fought back, and one of them lit a match that resulted in an explosion that killed and injured hundreds of people.  Three days earlier, another fire killed 24 people in a supermarket in downtown Nairobi, Kenya’s capitol because it took more than an hour for firefighters to reach the supermarket.  WTF!!

Another key piece of this puzzle is a corrupt government.  In the past few months, the Kenyan government has been rocked by several scandals, including one that reportedly involved millions of pounds of missing corn at a time of possible famine.  There is nothing good going to come from this mess.  There’s only one answer that will fix this, to wit:  fear God and keep his commandments.  There is clearly no fear of God in Kenya.

Here are some other God smacks brought down on this evil nation:

January 4, 2010 - Floods left 20 dead.

September 15, 2009 -  A cattle raid initiated by some 200 thieves killed 30 people and stole 10,000 livestock.

July 22, 2009- Two tour buses collided, killing 22 and injuring 47.
