The official name of the country Jordan is Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, a country in the Middle East. It shares control of the Dead Sea with Israel and Palestine. Present Jordan was once made up of the nations of Edom, Moab, Ammon, and Bashan. Later through the years, Jordan was controlled by the Assyrians, Babylonians, and Persians. All of these nations served as enemies to the nation of Israel. Israel was once the chosen people of God, and will yet have a saved remnant in the latter end. The land(s) of Jordan has been engaged in much conflict in some shape or form with Israel through the many years.

Now Jordan is a modern Arab nation with a Constitutional hereditary monarchy. Their constitution was amended in 1952, with the most powerful political figure being the king, the government headed by the prime minister, and a bicameral parliament. It is a government made up of crooks and liars. The inhabitants of that land have always put its energy and resources into being contrary to God and His standard. Jordan has a long history with Israel and its ancestors have witnessed the power and glory of God on countless occasions when they made themselves His enemy. They were in close geographical proximity to the nation where the Lord chose to put His name. They hate God. They hate His law. They should know the standard and they know what it means to judge righteously. They have witnessed it firsthand. They love and prefer their wickedness and their corrupting of judgment, which is something they have always done.        

Psalm 94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

Proverbs 17:23 A wicked man taketh a gift out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment.

Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Deuteronomy 31:29  For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.
