You can read about the filthy manner of life of the Babylonians, Assyrians, Chaldees, and other members of the people who are today Iraqis in the Bible. They were so filthy God killed all of them but eight in the Flood in 2348 B.C. They were famous for their idols and false gods and goddesses. Here is a good example from the Scriptures of where they ended up and they have never recovered from this spot:

Isaiah 47:
1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.
3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.
4 As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.
5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
6 I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.
7 And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.
8 Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
10 For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.
11 Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.
15 Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.

These are the descendents of Ishmael the enemy of Isaac forever. (The doomed american government and military simply dont have a clue what they have stepped into over there. Six thousand years of learning perversion and hating God is what they think theyre going to change.) They are filthy; they have never been righteous; they have been pagan beasts from the beginning. When one of their leaders, like King Nebuchadnezzar -- whom God turned into a wild animal eating grass in the forest for seven years would get a clue for a moment, they would briefly speak of the glory of God (see Daniel 4:30-37). But that never lasted (see, e.g., Daniel 5). Their idols are the stuff of childrens stories today (e.g., Aladdin and his lamp); it is well known in the psyche of the people of the world that this is an idolatrous and pagan nation, and always has been.

Today they are famous for a false religion that was founded by a pedophile, and for their pleasure marriages. See more details on their false religion under False Religious Systems. Pleasure marriage is a fancy term for prostitute. Iraq allows men and women to enter contracts ranging from one hour to ten years for a whore on the side; they have to pay her. They pretend this was a way to help widow women make a living. What? Yes, thats what they claim. Today, a few womens rights groups and some of the pompous hypocritical clerics of Iraq say this might really be more about the lust of their men. Do you think?

Abortion is legal in Iraq. They put a lot of rules around it; but dont be fooled. The Iraq Family Planning Association is on the ground pushing for more dead babies all the time. In 1994 they got the government to issue a decree allowing the provision of family planning services to all Iraqi women. The criminal law of Iraq, at article 63 of the Penal Code, says you can have an abortion to preserve the life and health of the mother and for reasons of foetal defect. What? They want to maintain rather than increase the rate of growth of Iraqis. Thats their latest excuse. You have to get the signature of your husband to get an abortion. That would be the same husbands who are all caught up in their pleasure marriages.

A report at www.time.com on March 7, 2009, told of tens of thousands of Iraqi girls, as young as 11, being sold into prostitution by their parents, fetching from $2,000 to $20,000 each.  The girls are trafficked locally and internationally, most to Syria, Jordan and the Gulf (primarily the United Arab Emirates).  Since the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime in 2003 – one of doomed america’s gifts to the descendents of Babylon – girls have been sold like cattle for the sinful pleasures of the men of the Middle East.  In February 2009, Baghdad’s minister of women’s affairs, Dr. Nawal al-Samarraie, resigned in protest for lack of resources, though even she claimed publicly this trafficking is limited, and that the girls choose to be involved in this filth.  The Iraqis learned this depravity from doomed america, where in February 2009, the FBI reported a nationwide search – called Operation Cross Country III – that recovered 48 children prostituted domestically.  In March 2009, A group in Atlanta, one of the cities most notorious for child prostitution, reported that every month 300 adolescent girls are prostituted in Georgia.
