Some in The U.S. Senate suspected Jones of illegal and dangerous deeds. Famous fag pervert Harvey Milk wrote a letter to U. S. President Carter lauding Jones as a man of great character, who should be left alone and not investigated. Shortly thereafter Jones orchestrated the assassination of US senator Leo Ryan. Then Jones convinced over 900 of his followers to commit suicide. Not coincidentally fags statistically have higher suicide rates than the rest of the population.
