Guyana's Filthy Manner of Life

Guyana's Filthy Manner of LifeAbortion

In 1996, abortion became legal up until 8 weeks gestation. Prior to that, abortion was officially illegal however abortions occurred and people rarely were prosecuted. Just like doomed Americans, the Guyanese can kill their babies with impunity. Jeremiah 1: 4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Prostitution

Although prostitution is illegal, the extreme poverty of Guyana creates a fertile climate for the involuntary (and sometimes voluntary) sex trafficking of women and girls. Police tend to look the other way at the multitude of “waitresses” that accept payments for extra services in small rooms of many “restaurants” in the capital city of Georgetown. Approximately 45% of Guyanese prostitutes carry HIV/AIDS and spread this curse from God across the nation. Most Guyanese prostitutes are between the ages of 16-22 and come from the rural countryside of the nation’s interior. They are often lured to the “restaurants” (really brothels) in the capital by young men promising them a better life. Rather than teach their poor neighbors about the truth of God and warn them to flee fornication and the wrath to come, they use these young, vulnerable girls to satisfy their lusts then discard them.
