Ghana's Evil Government

Ghana's Evil GovernmentGhana has a presidential representative democratic republic where the President is the head of state, the head of government, and the head of a multi-party system.  This guy, President John Evans Atta Mills, has a lot of power, and he has not used it to glorify God and lead the people to repentance.  He’s got a Vice President, John Dramani Mahama, and a Council of Ministers to help him with his mischief.  Ghana’s Executive power is exercised by the government; and the legislative power is vested in both the government and Parliament.  Then, the Judiciary is independent of both the executive and legislature.  They are all so civilized!

The Constitution has a Fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms section that is interesting reading, to wit:  “Every person in Ghana, whatever his race, place of origin, political opinion, colour, religion, creed or gender shall be entitled to the fundamental human rights and freedoms of the individual contained in this Chapter BUT subject to respect for the rights and freedoms of others and for the public interest.”  And, here are those human rights and freedoms – wait for it:  freedom of speech and expression; freedom of thought, conscience and belief; freedom to practice any religion and to manifest such practice; freedom of assembly, including freedom to take part in processions and demonstrations; and freedom of association.  It all sounds so good until you get to that BUT, which makes it WORTHLESS.  You got nothin’. There is no wonder no gospel light shines in Ghana – you fools have snuffed it out with your BUT!! Here’s what they mean by that BUT – language also contained in The Constitution:  “All customary practices which dehumanize or are injurious to the physical and mental well-being of a person are prohibited”.  God’s word will do just that to a REPROBATE!!
