Archbishop Oscar Romero is El Salvador’s poster child for sin. He held great power in that country and refused to teach the people God’s laws and commandments. He was born on August 15, 1917 to a poor family and he was sent to apprentice to a carpenter at 12. He entered seminary at 13 and completed his studies at the Gregorian University in Rome. He was ordained in Rome in 1942. His “exceptional skills and commitment” soon saw him appointed as rector and secretary of the Diosese of San Miguel. In 1970 he became Auxillary Bishop for the Archdiocese of San Salvador. Monsignor Chavez started putting progressive reforms in place throughout the Archdiocese. These reforms did not agree with Romero and despite his desire to stay out of the political controversies at hand, he instead became an advocate for the “poor and downtrodden” of El Salvador. Romero was named archbishop of the archdiocese of San Salvador on February 10, 1977.
The famous “fourteen families” of aristocracy deemed all that disagreed with them expendable and crossed the countryside torturing, raping and killing with impunity. Romero decried this unreasonable violence against those who “petitioned for justice and liberty”. He toured the countryside on horseback talking with families seeking to “aide them”. He should have been telling them they are going to hell and all those earthquakes, hurricanes and violence are curses from God because of your disobedience. Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand!
Romero did not obey. 70-80,000 people died, 300,000 disappeared never to be seen again and a million fled during those years of severe curses from God by that civil war. He spoke in the name of God on March 23, 1980. “I implore you-I command you in the name of God: stop the repression!” March 24, 1980 Archbishop Romero was shot to death at a funeral mass. 50,000 people gathered to worship this beast on March 30, 1980. Bombs and gunfire, exploding cars came from all four corners of the Cathedral plaza. 40 died and hundreds were seriously injured. (http://kellogg.nd.edu/romero/Biography.htm)
"I have frequently been threatened with death. I ought to say that, as a Christian, I do not believe in death without resurrection. If they kill me I will rise again in the people of El Salvador... I am bound, as a pastor, to give my life for those whom I love, and that is all Salvadorans, even those who are going to kill me. If they manage to carry out their threats, from this moment I offer my blood for the redemption and resurrection of El Salvador. Martyrdom is a grace from God, which I do not believe I deserve. But if God accepts the sacrifice of my life, then may my blood be the seed of liberty, and a sign that hope will soon become a reality.”

There are Oscar Romero Centers, Clinics, High Schools and Community Centers around the world. They all have one thing in common. They all teach “social justice”. Do they say a word about the injustices within their “church”? Do they make efforts to put away the pedophile priests from amongst them? NO!
Oscar Romero fought for the social and human rights of the people of El Salvador. He did not fight for the Truth of God in that place. 30 years and counting in hell for Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez. He has been recommended for sainthood by the Catholic Church. He is considered a patron saint for the Americas and El Salvador. Two-fold more a child of hell than your typical priest.
