El Salvador's Evil Government

Upside down El Salvadorn flagThe political framework of El Salvador is a presidential representative democratic republic with a multiform multi-party system. The President of El Salvador, currently Mauricio Funes, is both head of state and head of governmentExecutive power is exercised by the government.   Legislation may be introduced not only by the legislative body, referred to as deputies; but also by the president; his ministers; and the Supreme Court, in the case of laws pertaining to the judiciary; and local municipal councils, with regard to municipal taxation.  The country has an independent Judiciary and Supreme Court with 15 judges presiding.  In March of 2009 Mauricio Funes became president of El Salvador.  Funes is a former journalist and is a member of the left-wing Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front.    In 1970, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of El Salvador left the Communist Party to form a new organization to overthrow the military dictatorship.  The FMNL grew, becoming the largest and most influential organization on the Salvadorian left.  El Presidente Funes plays nice with Cuba.  Some say that FMLN was formed under negotiations with Fidel Castro.  Mauricio Funes has made fast friends with Beast Obama.  They are cursed with severe poverty and rely on doomed America for aide.  The current government is what has hatched from years of civil war.  This year they celebrated the 18 year anniversary of the end of a blood bath, a/k/a civil war that killed 70,000-75,000 people the 12 years it raged on.  What could one expect when their ancestors were mass-murdering Aztecs?
