Cyprus's Evil Government

Upside down Cyprusn flagSince 1974, Cyrus has been divided into the Republic government controlled two-thirds, and Turkish Cypriot-administered one-third.  The nation has never been able to elect a national president because of the on-going divisions and unrest.  The UN only recognizes the Republic of Cyprus.  The Northern part is recognized by Turkey.

Demetris Christofias is the sixth and current President of the Republic of Cyprus.  He was narrowly elected in February, 2008, and promised to make unity of the island a priority of his administration.  Lots of luck!  Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.  (Mt. 12:25.)

Dervis Eroglu is the third and current President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, having been elected in 2010.
