Divorce/Adultery
In Cyprus, 1 in 5 marriages end in divorce despite the extremely complicated divorce law. There is a constant power struggle between the Family courts and the ecclesiastical court. The Greek Orthodox Church refuses to recognize divorces granted by the Family courts; thus, if you want to get married again, you better get your divorce from the ecclesiastical court and follow their rules. This forces anyone wanting a divorce to apply for divorce with both courts. Of course, there is no scriptural authority for any of this nonsense, and God says He hates divorce – putting away. Mal 2:16 - For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously. It’s clear that the Greek Orthodox Church refuses to tell the truth about this vital matter that can damn a soul to hell forever. Heb. 13:4 - Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Furthermore, getting divorced many times leads to adultery, a sin God also hates. (Ex 20:14 - Thou shalt not commit adultery. Le 20:10 - And the man that committeth adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. De 5:18 - Neither shalt thou commit adultery. Pr 6:32 - But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. Mr 10:11 - And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. Mr 10:12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.)
Prostitution/Trafficking
Cyprus law does not prohibit prostitution, only operating brothels, organizing prostitution rings, living off the profits of prostitution, encouraging prostitution or forcing a person to engage in prostitution. Cyprus has a reputation for being a major transit point for smugglers to transport women for prostitution. A report from June, 2010, reveals that prostitution has “grown enormously”, with prostitutes openly approaching men in broad daylight. Law enforcement response is that prostitution is not illegal, so there’s nothing they can do. Well, legal or not, it’s a violation of God’s law and a monstrous sin that will damn you to hell. Pr. 5:3 - For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: 4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword. 5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. 6 Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.
Abortion
In Cyprus, abortion has been legal for decades. The current law allows abortion if there is a risk of physical or mental harm to the mother, if there is a risk of fetal deformity, or if the patient was raped or had another sexual crime committed against them “affecting the social or family status.” WTHeck does that even mean?! And, let’s just compound the crimes/sins by killing the baby! Abortion is murder, and it always will be!! God said Thou Shalt Not Kill! (Ex. 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.; De 5:17 Thou shalt not kill; Mt 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment.) God Hates Abortion!!
Homosexuality
Both male and female same-sex sex is legal in Cyprus since 1998, when lawmakers decriminalized homosexual relations between consenting adults in private. Sexual conduct with minors, or in public, carries a prison term of 5 years. So far, homosexuals are barred from serving in the military, on the grounds that homosexuality is a mental illness. NOT based upon the grounds that sodomy is a monstrous sin against God that will kill the body, damn the soul and doom a nation! Haven’t you heard? God hates fags and fag-enablers!! (Ge 18: 20 - And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; Ge 19: 24 ¶ Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; 25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. . . . 28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace. Le 18:22 - 22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Je 6:15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD. Je 8:12 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD. Ro 1: 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. . . . 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.)
