While Cuba’s Constitution gives its citizens freedom of religion, there is no freedom of religion in Cuba.  The government requires religions to be a member of the Council of Churches (CCC); if you are not a member of a CCC religion, you will face official interference, harassment and repression.  Even those religions that are members of the CCC are denied access to independent media and press, as well as the ability to establish internet connections.

What you believe and preach is closely monitored and highly restricted in Cuba, and those criticizing the government are subjected to imprisonment under the law of “dangerousness” without any due process of law.  This is why there are no gospel preachers in Cuba, and why the wrath of God abides on this land.
