Colombia's Evil Government

Colombia's Evil GovernmentThe current El Presidente of Colombia is a BIG, HUGE Obama fan.  ENOUGH SAID!  His name is Alvaro Uribe, and he is a little geeky-looking demon-possessed do-gooder type.  He wants to criminalize personal use of drugs (see reference to this issue in the Filthy Manner of Life section).  He does have a very checkered past and it includes a family of suspected drug traffickers (now before you get high and mighty about that, just look at the Kennedy family with their millions made in the boot-legging industry!).  I’m just saying this guy has money, and power and that is just the ticket for Obama’s shortly-coming power grab.  This evil Uribe dude is poised for big things!

Colombia has a long history of party politics, usually fair and regular elections, and respect for political and civil rights. There are two traditional parties—the Liberals and the Conservatives. These two parties have been competing for power since the midnineteenth century and have rotated frequently as the governing party. On only three occasions the Colombian’s armed forces have seized power over the government.

Some of the analysts of Colombian political affairs have noticed that in the 1980’s the military gradually began to assume a larger decision making role. The military took on this role due to the inability of the civilian governments to resolve critical situations, like in the 1980’s where there was a 61 day terrorist occupation in the Dominican Republic.  Do you think it ever occurred to these idiots that this took place because of all the drug use?  That is most likely what they were aiming for when they decided Colombians have a Constitutional RIGHT to be in a constant state of inebriation if it will keep them happy and SILENT!

Executive Branch: the President is elected for a 4 year term, and, since 2005, can be reelected for another term. By law the Vice President will succeed in the event of the Presidents’ resignation, illness, or death.  Check it out, if little Alvero kicks the bucket, Francisco Santos Calderón also known as Pacho Santos is the next in line.  See more on him under “Poster Children For Sin”.

Legislative Branch: this consists of a 102 member senate of Colombia, and a 161-member Chamber of Representatives of Colombia. Senators are elected on the basis of a nationwide ballot, but Representatives are elected in multimember districts, co-located within the 32 national districts.

Judicial Branch: the judicial branch’s general structure is composed of 4 distinct jurisdictions (civilian, administrative, constitutional, and special). Colombia’s highest judicial organizations include the Supreme Court, the Council of State, the Constitutional Court, and the Superior Judicial Council. This sometimes leads to conflicting opinions since there is no one court which clearly has authority over the decisions of the other 3.

Again, that seems a bit interesting but possibly irrelevant, no?!  NO!  This is the picture of a nation that is under siege.  Obama is going to reach right over and take full advantage of this set up, and in fact has already begun (see the media stories of how Obama is setting up deals with this President to use their military bases and the big stir this is causing – all under the guise of helping each other in the “war on drugs”).

You must read Daniel 2, and see where this nation of Colombia fits into those toes which are made both of clay and iron – unstable, yes, but still able to move and function!  However, always remember this:  Psalm 9:17  The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
