Independence of French territories of Cameroun occurred in 1960. The Federal Republic of Cameroon formed from the merging of French and British territories in 1961. By 1984, the country was renamed The Republic of Cameroon.  This is a godless nation with much political corruption, poverty and pagan practices.

Currently, the country is governed by their 2nd president, Paul Biya, a corrupt dictator. According to Wikipedia, the president has unilateral powers to create policy, administer government agencies, command the armed forces, negotiate and ratify treaties and appoint government officials in all levels of government. Corruption is so widespread that even after anti-corruption agencies were established over 10 years ago, only a small percentage still operates. This governmental corruption is so well-documented that Transparency International ranked Cameroon 136 of 163, least to most corrupt nations. This is further demonstrated in the attempt to determine the crime statistics for this God-forsaken country. Many crimes go unreported, thus an accurate assessment of crime is not possible. The corruption of Cameroon, through a godless leader, is destroying the people. The Lord has certainly left them to perish through their own wicked and corruptible practices.
