Like their doomed neighbors in Iran, most Azerbaijanis practice Shia Islam. The prophet most revered by Muslims openly and notoriously married a child. Their concept of heaven resembles the hedonistic dystopia of Hollywood (modeled after her sisters Babylon and Sodom) wherein every carnal desire is fulfilled.   

Most Azeris are hypocritical about their faith however as they consider religion rather unimportant and more a matter of culture and history.

Turkish nationalism originated in nearby Turkey and is becoming popular as a belief system as well. Like the Jews, the Turkish people, including Azeri Turks, worship themselves as a people instead of the Lord God.
