God's Wrath
Revealed Against Angola
Floods and resulting disease is a huge issue in Angola. Floods in Cuando Cubango and Cunene have affected 125,000 people, and 25,000 have lost their homes. Across the country, more than 30,000 people have been made homeless by the floods. In March, 2009, 400,000 were affected by floods as a result of heavy rains for 3 weeks. These floods exacerbate diseases already present in the area like cholera and malaria. Cholera outbreaks have been responsible for thousands of deaths in recent years.
On May 30, 2002, a conference was held entitled “A Man-Made Famine Ravages Angola: Thousands Will Starve Without Immediate Assistance.” Here is how it happened: Over half of the population is unemployed, and 70% live below the poverty line. War prevents farmers from going to their fields and often forces them to flee before harvest. If the war doesn’t stop them, the over 10 million buried land mines make traveling to and working on the land dangerous.
Further, only a tiny minority can afford good medical care, resulting in many people seeking help from traditional healers INSTEAD OF GOD!!! Your life expectancy is now below 50. Poverty-related diseases such as cholera, tuberculosis and measles are a problem in overcrowded urban areas and refugee camps. Many deaths are a direct consequence of malnutrition and undernourishment. The number of people with AIDS is increasing. And, 1 out of every 3 children dies before age 5. The list goes on in on with the ways God is dealing with you to your faces. WAKE UP!! REPENT!!
Angola has the potential to be a rich country. There is oil in the Cabinda enclave, diamonds in Lunda, and iron, phosphates, copper, gold bauxite and uranium are natural resources in other provinces. You have used these resources to finance the military, so most of your population goes hungry. Angola is the second-largest oil producer in sub-Saharan Africa, yet its people are the poorest on the continent. The corruption in your government is to blame -- more than $4 billion in oil receipts have come up missing in the last 6 years.
Between the droughts, floods, epidemics, civil wars and government corruption, God’s hand has been on this land for decades and they have yet to repent and turn from their idols and filthy manner of life.
